Conestoga Valley will host L-L wrestling championships

The Lancaster-Lebanon League wrestling championships will be held Friday and Saturday at Conestoga Valley High School's Rill Gymnasium.

There will be five rounds of wrestling in Session One on Friday, beginning at 4 p.m. and continuing through to 10 p.m. Competition will include preliminaries, first round and quarterfinals in the championship round, along with two rounds of wrestleback consolations.

Wrestling resumes Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with Session Two. This includes the third round of wrestlebacks, with the championship semifinals and the fourth round of wrestlebacks beginning at 11:30 a.m., followed immediately by the consolation quarterfinals. The consolation semifinals, and seventh-place medal matches, cap this session, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Session Three begins at 4 p.m. with the announcement of Scholarship winners and the induction of the 2010 Class of the L-L Wrestling Coaches Hall-of-Fame. The championship finals, as well as the 3rd- and 5th-place medal matches, will be held concurrently, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Doors will open one hour prior to the beginning of each session. Ticket prices are: adults $5 for each session, students, $3 for each session. A three-session adult pass will be available Friday for $12.
