Lancaster-Lebanon League, college events snowed out
Basketball, wrestling, swimming all postponed until next week

The winter storm that struck Lancaster County Friday forced the postponement of much of the Lancaster-Lebanon League sports slate as well as many of the local college athletic events.

L-L League girls' basketball games that will now be played on Tuesday include:

McCaskey at Manheim Township, Warwick at Cedar Crest, Conestoga Valley at Garden Spot, Ephrata at Elizabethtown and Solanco at Lebanon.

Also, Elco at Donegal, Cocalico at Manheim Central and Lancaster Mennonite at Lebanon Catholic.

Columbia will travel to Annville-Cleona on Feb. 12.

Lampeter-Strasburg will host a boys-girls doubleheader Tuesday against Northern Lebanon, with the boys' game tipping off at 6:30 p.m. and the girls' game beginning at 8 p.m.

L-L boys' games moved to Tuesday include:

Manheim Township at McCaskey, Cedar Crest at Warwick, Garden Spot at Conestoga Valley, Elizabethtown at Ephrata and Lebanon at Solanco.

Also, Donegal at Elco, Manheim Central at Cocalico, Lebanon Catholic at Lancaster Mennonite and Pequea Valley at Lancaster Catholic.

Annville-Cleona will visit Columbia on Thursday.

The Warwick at Manheim Central wrestling match scheduled for Tuesday has been moved to Feb. 16 to accommodate the change in the basketball games.

Also, no makeup dates have been set for the Climb the Mountain, Eastern, Muhlenberg Duals and Pequea Valley wrestling tournaments.

The Cocalico swim meet against Lampeter-Strasburg, scheduled for Friday at the Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA, will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m.

In collegiate postponements, the Franklin & Marshall swim meets set for 1 p.m. today at Gettysburg have been moved to Sunday at the same time.

No decisions will be made for the F&M men's and women's basketball games against Muhlenberg until this morning.

The Elizabethtown College men's and women's games against visiting Albright will now be played on Sunday, with the women tipping off at 1 p.m. followed by the men's game at 3 p.m. at Thompson Gymnasium.

The E-town wrestling tri-match with York College at Hunter College has been canceled and the indoor track teams will not participate in the New Balance Collegiate Games.

The Millersville University men's and women's basketball games, originally scheduled for this afternoon, will be played Sunday at West Chester. The women's game will begin at 1 p.m. with the men's game to follow.
