The snowstorm means the Lancaster-Lebanon League basketball regular season will end in a blizzard of games in a short time this week.
A full slate of boys' and girls' games is scheduled for Monday and Wednesday, the final two dates on the schedule.
Snow-outs have moved nine boys' games and nine girls' games to Tuesday, creating an NBA-like schedule of three games in three days.
• In boys' Section One, Hempfield (14-0, 20-0) has long since locked up the title.
McCaskey, 9-4 in the league, leads Penn Manor (9-5) by a half-game and Warwick (8-5) by a game for the section's other berth in the L-L League playoffs.
McCaskey has three games in a row this week, though, including a trip to rival Hempfield Wednesday.
Solanco (9-3, 14-4) is in control of the Section Two race, and can clinch it with a win at home over second-place Elizabethtown (6-7, 8-11) Monday.
In Section Three, Lampeter-Strasburg and Cocalico, both 10-3 in the league, will get the league playoff berths.
They each play three times this week, but the big one, L-S at Cocalico, is Monday.
Barring collapse, there's not much drama in Section Four. Lancaster Catholic (13-0, 16-3) is cruising in first and Lancaster Mennonite (10-3, 14-5) is three games clear of the rest of the pack.
• The wildest race in the league is in girls' Section One. Hempfield (10-4, 13-7) grabbed a share of the lead with Penn Manor (10-4, 15-4) by defeating the Comets at their gym Friday.
Cedar Crest and Manheim Township are 9-4 in the section.
Hempfield hosts Township Monday, and Penn Manor hosts Cedar Crest Wednesday.
The Section Two title likely will to go to the winner of the Solanco (11-2, 14-4) at Lebanon (11-2, 15-3) game Tuesday.
The loser will still make the league playoffs.
There's a similar showdown in Section Three in Myerstown Monday, with Manheim Central (10-3, 13-6) taking a one-game lead to Elco (9-4, 11-8).
Lancaster Catholic (13-1, 14-5) took a half-game lead in Section Four with a win at Pequea Valley Thursday.
Lancaster Mennonite (12-1, 16-2) plays three games this week. Both Catholic and Mennonite get tough Lebanon Catholic (9-4, 13-5), the Blazers ain Lebanon Tuesday and Lancaster Catholic in its gym Wednesday.
Playoffs for section titles, if necessary, will be played Friday.
The girls' playoffs begin Monday, Feb. 15 and the boys' playoffs begin Tuesday, Feb. 16.
